Ms. McGinnis
My name is Kelly McGinnis and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! I am a Kannapolis native and graduated from AL Brown -Go Wonders!-
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, crafting and knitting. This is my eleventh year teaching and my second  year at Forest Park.
I believe the greatest learning takes place when there is a strong relationship between home and school. You will receive important information/notes in your child's agenda/green folder.  Please check the web page monthly to see what we are doing in the classroom!
Please feel free to contact me at 704-932-8121 or email me at if you have questions or concerns.

Colleges Attended/Degrees Earned: I received a Masters degree in Special Education from Western Carolina University in 2012, an undergraduate degree (Birth-Kindergarten) from Catawba College in 2009, and ESL Certification from NC State University in 2010

Educational Philosophy:
All children are strong and capable; they have a natural sense of wonder and a desire to learn.
I believe:
*A safe environment where children feel free to express individuality fosters self confidence and independence.
*Provided with experiences in which they can be successful, children can and will learn.
*When we guide children to expand upon their knowledge of the world, develop questions, help them resolve conflicts and find solutions to problems we stimulate their minds and build a strong foundations for learning.
